I am available for immediate real estate career opportunities in sales, development, marketing, acquisitions, dispositions, and or business-to-business development. I am prepared to fulfill any such opportunities as an associate or apprentice; be it in an entry-level, junior-level, mid-level or senior-level position.
I am an excellent choice when seeking a real estate professional that is creative, and thinks “outside the box”. I am genuinely passionate about the industry and its overall impact and benefits on our community. I am very adept at contract negotiations and building solid long-term relationships to secure current and future business opportunities. Bio:
Ozaeta’s background is deeply rooted in the United States Marine Corps, where he spent ten years of honorable service to country and an unwavering devotion to duty. In 1994, he traveled to the English Channel, Belgium and later to Norway and participated in training exercises, which involved coalition forces from both France and Great Britain. In 1996, he was part of the Humanitarian effort in Liberia, Africa caused by civil riots and rebel activity. For the first time in Liberia's civil war US troops became involved in combat, where U.S. Marines guarded the embassy in Monrovia, and evacuated more than 2,000 foreign nationals, including over 400 Americans living in Liberia. Finally in 2003 Ozaeta was part of the military campaign—Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Ozaeta received the Navy Marine Corps Achievement Award for his involvement in the coordination, planning and leadership of Foal Eagle—a training exercise conducted in South Korea which involved the transportation of over $300M in aviation assets, to and from without loss or mishap.
While serving in the United State Marine Corps, Ozaeta pursued and successfully acquired single-family investment properties until 2003 before deploying to the Middle East. In 2003 upon returning, Ozaeta immediately established Ward Brandon Properties, Inc. with the intent to acquire investment/income-producing properties.
Ward B. Ozaeta has been actively involved in the real estate industry as an individual investor since 1998—investing primarily in single-family residences. As a licensed real estate professional he has performed valuation analysis on over $200 million in multifamily assets. His most recent accomplishment was in coordinating and assembling the acquisition of a 424-unit Class B apartment community located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The property was acquired as a condominium conversion at approximately $42.7 million, and total gross sale after conversions of approximately $82 million. Mr. Ozaeta also gained hands on experience in the general management of hotel and resort operations from the Grand Pacific Palisades Resort and Hotel, Carlsbad, CA—where the annual combined sources of revenue exceeded $10 million.
Ozaeta is member of the Professional Men’s Toastmasters Club, San Diego—TM624; an active young leader member with Urban Land Institute (ULI); a member of the Big Brother/Big Sister Organization, and a volunteer staff with San Diego’s Center City Development Corporation (CCDC).
