Technical Editor/Proposal Coordinator/Marketing Assistant
San Diego environmental consulting firm is seeking a technical editor/proposal coordinator with environmental writing experience. Position will have the possibility of part-time (10-20 hours/week) or full-time work at office in Kearny Mesa area of San Diego.
Qualifications include:
• Degree in English or related field
• Three years minimum editing experience
• Top-notch skills in English grammar and usage
• Experience with technical report/proposal production
• Experience with public/private sector proposals
• Ability to set and maintain standards, style, and templates
• Ability to work/communicate with technical staff with minimum supervision
• Marketing and public relations experience
The chosen candidate will:
• Edit large and small environmental documents such as Phase I and II assessments, workplans, etc.
• Edit tables and figures and check data.
• Develop/maintain report templates.
Proposal and public relations assistance, include:
• Assist in the preparation of sales tools, such as letters of inquiry and introduction, statements of qualifications, collateral material packages, follow-up letters, tailored brochures, etc.
• Prepare and assist with preparation of proposals.
• Assist in the preparation for interviews, presentations, and in-house business development meetings.
• Assist with the preparation and mailing of press releases, announcements, and media packages.
