We are seeking a Research Analyst with SQL Experience for our Health Services Department:
The primary purpose of this position is to extract, analyze, validate, and quantify data in an effort to derive new value from the ASH and Healthyroads clinical databases. This person will work within a team to profile health risks of employer groups, validate outcomes of health behavior programs, and measure return on investment.
Qualified applicants will have Bachelorˇ¦s degree in information systems, statistics, mathematics or similar research-oriented discipline or equivalent experience. This person will demonstrate proficiency in quantitative analysis. Ability to analyze, interpret, synthesize and present complex data into information. Minimum 1-2 years experience in the data analytics discipline. Demonstrated experience writing SQL queries and knowledge of relational databases/SQL server is requirement for the position. Advanced proficiency in using basic MS tools like MSExcel and MSAccess also a requirement. Knowledge of SPSS, Crystal Reports, and dashboards is a bonus. Past experience working in an ASP and .NET environment a plus, but not required.
Qualified applicants will also posses the ability to effectively and concisely prepare/present technical findings to non-technical personnel; Ability to work independently and as part of a team, follow-through on both verbal and written instructions, Ability to work collaboratively with various departments / constituencies. Ability to be flexible, multi-task, prioritize, and organize multiple projects/tasks concurrently while meeting required deadlines; Ability to learn new types of data quickly and effectively.
