SUMMARY


Concept illustrator for custom intellectual properties within the Company and for brands licensed to the Company. Must have good overall art skills (drawing, architectural, painting) and imagination and be prepared to draw anything. Will also provide feedback and creative insight for projects to stimulate intellectual property growth.





ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


• Will concept worlds and characters unique to intellectual properties.


• Takes concepts from initial creation to final illustration.


• Takes direction from writers and Project Managers to create unique concepts.


• Provides direction and input in regards to not only character creation, but anatomical aspects, clothing, cultural traits, etc.


• Provides feedback and ideas for intellectual properties. Assists creatively in realization of properties.


• Will occasionally fully illustrate cards for a variety of projects from start to finish.





EDUCATION/YEARS EXPERIENCE


• BA in Design or Graphic Arts/Illustration or a closely related field or equivalent experience.


• 2+ years of experience in the field of illustration or in a related area.





KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES


• Proven ability to provide professional illustration solutions and recommendations.


• Basic compositional drawing skills.


• Basic color knowledge and ability to apply a variety of media.


• Basic knowledge of human anatomy.


• Flexibility and unique expression in illustration skills.


• Strong oral and written communication skills.


• Sound organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple, high priority projects with a keen attention to detail.


• Ability to perform duties under minimal supervision while exercising discretion and independent judgment.


• Professional demeanor; results oriented team player.


• Hands on, energetic, and motivated self-starter.


• Ability to meet deadlines and work additional hours as required


• Proficient with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
