Family Resource Center Coordinator

SUMMARY: The Family Resource Center Coordinator, in cooperation with the Community- Based Programs Manager, coordinates the internal operations, program activities, family advocacy, and development of interagency linkages for a school-based resource center located at Bayview Terrace Elementary School in Pacific Beach. The project goal is to support families in achieving and/or maintaining strength and stability by providing empowerment-based advocacy, education, and referrals to families and individuals living, working, or attending school in the Pacific Beach and Mission Beach communities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, community health education, or psychology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership ability. Must be culturally competent and be able to relate a full range of people, including community residents of all ages and ethnicities, community leaders, and organizational staff in both executive and front line positions representing a wide variety of disciplines.
• Knowledge of San Diego area resources and other service agencies.
• Experience in providing case management for youth, adults, and families.
• Ability to handle busy environment, work effectively with diverse clients and crisis intervention, and multi-task.
• Community relationship-building and collaborative skills required.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) *REQUIRED*.
• Prior to employment, must provide recent (within last three years) TB test showing negative for infectious tuberculosis and Department of Justice Live Scan criminal background clearance.
• Must complete CCS’s 60-hour Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Crisis Intervention Training (or approved equivalent) within six months of employment.
