Currently we are looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist to join our Purchasing department in Mira Mesa.

DUTIES:

· Compiles, analyses and reports quality information from our production floor to our Senior Quality Assurance Engineer.

· Ensures raw materials, in-process and finished products meet company standards.

· Determines or assists in determining methods, sequences and procedures necessary for inspection.

· Performs inspection of manufacturing goods during the manufacturing process.

· Interprets manufacturing drawings, diagrams, specifications and lists to approve or reject units or systems for in-process or final assemblies.

· Adapts inspection measuring devices and procedures where necessary.

· May apply approval or rejection labels to raw materials once analytical data is evaluated.

· Minimizes down time by reducing production rework and recalls.

· Prepares and maintains inspection reports and records.

· Verify that in-process parts conform to written specifications.

· Inspect finished assemblies as required.

· Verify that assemblies are built to the latest standards.

· Verify that proper accessories are boxed with the finished units.

· Inspect products for visual and aesthetic defects.

· Maintain inspection records of all products inspected



BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE

· Associate's degree (A. A.) or higher preferred

· Demonstrated aptitudes in statistics and analytical analysis

· Must be highly proficient with computers and database software such as Excel
